JOB SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Information Security and Compliance, the Technical Analyst, Security role is to plan, design, develop, and launch efficient technical solutions in support of core organizational functions and business processes for Dunn-Edwards and NPAA. This includes support for technical aspects of all related security tools, processes and procedures. The Technical Analyst will maintain the appropriate security posture of software applications in support of achieving business requirements. This includes responsibility for the design, development, testing, documentation, quality assurance support and post-production support of all security products purchased or implemented for Dunn-Edwards and NPAA. The Technical Analyst will also research, design, document, and modify security-related functionality throughout the production life cycle. This individual will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help maximize the benefit of IT system investments.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Manage the user security access area
  • Secure both on-premise and cloud infrastructures
  • Monitor system events, log files, and alerts
  • Review metrics and data to filter out suspicious activity
  • Find and mitigate risks before breaches occur
  • Assist with the incident response process, analyze security breaches if they occur to identify the root cause
  • Conduct security assessments through vulnerability testing and risk analysis
  • Conduct patch management and vulnerability remediation
  • Perform and/or manage 3rd parties that perform both internal and external security audits
  • Assist with updating the company’s incident response and disaster recovery plans
  • Verify the security of third-party vendors and collaborate with them to meet security requirements
  • Uses proven technical abilities in technical platforms, tools, and products.
  • Analyzes, assesses, and executes technical solutions for issues and/or new requirements for existing business systems and procedures.
  • Coordinates and performs in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new systems, and other post-implementation support.
  • Research new threats, attack techniques and methods
  • Assist with the risk management lifecycle
  • Collaborate with 3rd Party SOC to identify, review, and remediate vulnerabilities
  • Assist with gather documentation for PCI and JSOX audits as required
  • Successfully engages in multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Delivers assigned projects on time and on budget
  • Keeps current with technical skills required to support applications and infrastructure

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND/OR CERTIFICATION

  • College diploma or university degree in computer science, computer information systems, or management information systems, and/or 3-5 years equivalent work experience
  • 2-3 years’ experience in security administration required
  • Experience working with multi-national companies preferred
  • Security + or CISSP certifications preferred but not required

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization and with staff at remote locations essential.
