Finance Manager
Description:
Finance Manager is responsible for all financial reporting for the company to US and Swiss leadership. This position reports to the EVP of Finance, Americas.
Your contribution to our vision (responsibilities):
+ Main contact for all accounting and tax related issues of (Americas) Ltd. and (Americas) Lease Co., LLC
+ Preparation of the annual financial statements of the American companies according to US GAAP
+ Preparation of the monthly group reporting of the American companies according to Swiss GAAP FER (comparable to IAS/IFRS)
+ Contact for tax advisors and auditors on accounting-related and tax issues
+ Handling of complex accounting issues as a specialist in the underlying accounting regulations and preparation of professional opinions
+ Preparation and maintenance of process documentation and guidelines
+ Participation in various group-wide finance projects, including transfer pricing or optimization of finance and reporting processes
+ Serve as department lead for finance department
+ Meyer Burger does over $300 million in revenue
+ Other duties as assigned

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
+ Bachelor degree in Finance, Economics, Business or equivalent.
+ 5+ years' experience in accounting roles, with emphasis on reporting, preferably in a large global matrix multinational business environment including project controlling.
+ 3-5+ years management experience
+ High level of self-management skills by applying a Just-Do-It Mentality and the willingness to travel occasionally internationally
+ Thorough understanding of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Swiss GAAP FER.
+ Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills.
+ Meticulous attention to detail with superb organizational skills.
+ Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
+ Excellent report-writing and communication skills.
+ Solid proficiency in Microsoft Office, ERP, SAP, and other financial planning software.
+ Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems by acting as facilitator
+ Focus on accuracy and reliability as well as the willingness to take over responsibility
+ A team-based, solution-focused approach and strong written and verbal communication skills
+ Strong interpersonal skills with a good sense of humor
+ Ability to work in cross-functional and cross-cultural teams
